TILT Music Blog – My Favorite Albums in 2008

October 27, 2010 Leave a comment

Over the past few years I’ve been part of a music message board (Pulso Rock) where at the end of every year we post our individual favorite albums that we’ve listened to that particular year but released that same year.  It has slowly become a nice little tradition that we still continue.  So I decided to start documenting on my own blog my choices and perhaps give a little bit more information on my choices.   I will start with previous years and later on I’ll include my 2010 picks (considering I’m still adding to the list).  There will be albums in English and in Spanish and sometimes maybe even on another language. So I hope you enjoy my lists and share with me on the comments what have been your favorite albums of such years.  If you click on the artwork of each album you’ll be taken to the group’s MySpace page so you can listen to some of their music, if my two liners and the art entice you.  If you click on the artist’s name, for the ones that have a hyperlink, you can go to a previous review I’ve done about that particular group in my blog. Listados Musicales – 15 Mejores Discos Lanzados En El 2006 (Argentina)

November 3, 2008 Leave a comment

Read more…

Entrevistas – Porfolio (1998)

September 30, 2008 Leave a comment

TILT Music Blog – Aerogramme

August 13, 2008 1 comment

Like many times before, I hear about artists before I actually hear them…if that makes any sense.  I’ve always said you listen to a group when it is the time to do it.  Enter Aerogramme to the picture.  The first time I heard of them I think it was January.  A friend from Spain told me I had to hear their latest music which as it turns out is a big shift from their previous material which was a bit less mellow and less melancholic.  Read more…

TILT Music Blog – Alkaline Trio

Today I bring you a review on Alkaline Trio.  Yes I know, these guys are not really unknown, as a matter of fact they have a pretty nice career that expands through eight albums and ten plus years. Read more…

TILT Music Blog – The New Raemon

Blogging around I came accross this group The New Raemon.  Right off bat the name of the album, “A Propósito de Garfúnkel“, got my attention mostly because of how the accentuation on the u changes the pronunciation to the last name in spanish, (Gar-foon-kel).  Read more…

Reseñas De Discos: Amarillo – Piruetas En El Aire (2004)

April 23, 2008 Leave a comment

Read more…

TILT Music Blog – Change of Name and recap so far…

October 26, 2007 1 comment

This is a recap of all the entries made so far on the Music To Listen To Blog and an official change of name for the blog.  From now on the blog will be called T.I.L.T. (Tunes I Listen To).  Why the change? Well TILT sounds better than MTLT and let’s be honest it’s more what I listen to and share with you than any other thing.  So TILT is born and a possible migration to blogger is being considered.  I like this blog in myspace because I have access to a lot of people right here, but in all honesty this blog format sucks ass.  Unless myspace does something about it soon, TILT might be outta here.  I would continue to update this blog but with links to the new entries in the new blog.

In any case here’s a list of bands I’ve listened to in the almost year I’ve done this and that I’ve recommended and got some nice feedback from a few people.  Hopefully this will continue.  Read more…

TILT Music Blog – The Organ

October 24, 2007 Leave a comment

A few days off, nothing on the scenery that actually made me write about it.  Then came across this canadian group called The Organ.  An all female ensamble that replenishes that void left from 80’s acts such as The Smiths, The Cure, Sioxsie, etc.  Also they tend to remind me, mostly for the vocals and the melodies, to Rainer Maria.  Read more…
