Listados Musicales – 25 Mejores Versiones En Tributos De Rock En Español

A lo largo de los pasados 15 años, una de las explosiones en el rock en español ha sido la de los tributos.  Cada par de meses sale algún tributo a algún artista.  Al principio fueron bastante limitados y con gran exposición comercial, ya que fueron lanzados en un momento de curiosidad por el rock en nuestro idioma.  Era una gran manera de rendirle homenaje a los grandes, modernizar algunas canciones y dejar a conocer a artistas de un país en otro.

Este grupo de músicos originales de Granada, España llevan una larga trayectoria llena de cambios de integrantes, altas y bajas musicales pero siempre creando un sonido innovador y expandiendo las fronteras musicales de su proyección audiofónica: Los Planetas.

TILT Music Blog – McCarthy

If we are gonna talk about indie in this blog we have to mention this group.  I had heard of McCarthy prior to finding them in myspace, yet did not gave them the thorough listening I should had.  This people where making the music we listen to now back in the 80’s in England.  I mean yes, Britain is well known for their versatility in music appreciation, yet in the 80’s indie?

TILT Music Blog – Los Invisibles

This band is spanking new on my music library.  And for what I can see their myspace cannot be more than a few days old.  Los Invisibles is the side project of Banin and Florent, to key members of the renowned indie band from Spain, Los Planetas.  This just came out of nowhere (at least for people like me that don’t libe in the motherland).  The sound musically it’s pretty similar to what Los Planetas represent, in terms of guitars and saavy POP, yet the voice of Banin gives it a twist.  His voice reminds me of lead singer of Los Enemigos, long time punk band from Spain. 

TILT Music Blog – The Foundry Field Recordings

Today I decided to go a little more pop shoegazing to give the folk a rest.  What I came across, while browsing around was this group from Missouri called The Foundry Field Recordings.  Very sweet, very melodic guitars.  At times it was reminiscent to The Elected with music similar to that of Sonic Youth, but they do have their own thing going on.  There is one song in their space that reminds me to Los Planetas so damn much, the track “Beneath The Winter” from their latest album Prompt/Miscues. 

TILT Music Blog – Grupo De Expertos Solynieve

This is not a new band.  Well technically it is, but I’ve known of Grupo De Expertos Solynieve for a little while.  It’s just that even though they released their new album not even a year ago, they already have three new songs on their myspace.  And considering the lead singer is the lead singer of the famous indie rock group from Spain Los Planetas, it just shows the dedication.  This project, although can’t hide the resemblance to the other group, has a unique approach to it.

Hasta el día de hoy, el disco de estudio más reciente de la agrupación granadina.  En una linea más mellow que sus discos anteriores, con más reminesencia de la onda folk, con el piano de Banin más presente que la misma guitarra loca de Florent, con melodías más bonitas que discos anteriores, hacen de este disco uno para que los que no les conocen, les escuchen sin sentirse rezagados por los feedbacks y notas discordantes de las guitarras del grupo (que tanto nos gustan a los que ya somos fans).  Esta banda le dió vida a un sin fin de otros grupos incluyendo a Audiosis (mi propia banda).  Osea, en un país donde esa música no llega, como se explica que tres de sus integrantes eran fans de ellos sin conocerse entre si de antemano.  Una sola palabra magia..o acceso al internet, como quieran verlo.
