TILT Music Blog – La Costa Brava
This band is not a recent discovery of mine. I’ve been a fan of La Costa Brava for a few years now, but I also know not everybody is aware of their existence. A few month ago they released their new album “Velocidad de Crucero” (2007) and it’s a step forward on what I like to call a great mixing of ideas. Originally this group was a side project of members of great spanish indie bands such as Australian Blonde, El Niño Gusano, and a few others. For a while they released six to eight songs EP’s every six months. Now more mature they have refined their indie pop sound while keeping their irreverent lyrics and funny themes on occasions and have come out with a great album that should take them outside their shell and into the open sea of fans. Check them out, specially tunes such as “Olímpicos“, “Sábado” and “Amor Bajo Cero” from their latest album.
This is a link to one of their videos from their previous record for the song “Adoro A Las Pijas De Mi Ciudad”.
