TILT Music Blog – Melee

Melee. This morning while browsing around for new music like every monday morning, I came across this group that even though had a very commercial sound, they had some sort of reminecense to the era of certain 80’s pop groups that I liked.  Things of Chicago, Air Supply (in the vocals melodies of the choruses) and some other monster ballads groups such as Firehouse even though not as cliche but with more contemporaneous sounds in the music, sounding a bit like Coldplay and Keane.  Obviously that music as commercial as that is not everybodies coup of tea, but when things sound good, they sound good.  It is worth listening to them for those days that you don’t feel like listening to some artsy fartsy group but something more easy to digest.  I enjoyed the song “Built To Last” the most.  Give them a try.

Melee.
