I think a few things have come to light with this extended primary for the democratic party.  For starters that the reason why people tend to always go back to republicans is because under all the lying, the bullshit, the scandals, and in case of President Dubya the low IQ, there is a level of false confidence that they can project effectively that keep people at ease (even though it shouldn’t but, what you going to do…).  Democrats can’t seem to be able to demonstrate that.  I mean this primary could have been a motivational push for liberties, human rights, gender and race overcomed, and have the polls showing the republicans way down.  But it has become clear that Democrats don’t know what they are doing.  They are not firm, they are not stable, and although I am a fan of listening to the people, come on there are certain rules that need to be followed.

This crap with Michigan and Florida not counting could have been avoided before the primaries started if they had leadership skills.  It could have been fixed before super tuesday if they had communication skills.  It could be fixed right now if they had Balls and stop worrying about dumb ass pundits with too much time to cover this election instead of other more important news stories.  Nothing like hearing for 1 minute about Myanmar, another minute about the tornadoes in the midwest and the following 58 minutes on how Obama must pick Hillary as the VP.  Give me a break.

Another thing that has come to light is that people this increase in people voting is not because they think that the candidates are brilliant, it’s just that they can’t fucking believe their vote matters.  I mean why do people enjoy the fact of complicating the simplest things? You have X amount of people, you have two candidates, you count the votes, then at the end…YOU HAVE A WINNER!!!  but noooo, you need to get delegates, per district, and then count the superdelegates and then see which states are more important, and then see which ones are purple (swing states) to then decide if they are electable (again with that damn word that means nothing…just ask John Kerry).  I swear, sometimes I feel like I’m watching the NCAA picking the teams for their respective bowls (another stupid system).

Lets go back to the pundits for a minute.  I mean seriously it’s laughable.  Everytime is a primary day, the world can burn, but we must have 8 hours non stop of cover, featuring the same ol people with their same opinions and explaining to us why people voted the way they did.  So what’s your poison? You hate democrats? Then you must watch Election HQ on FOX where it doesn’t matter who wins the democratic primary, they both suck ass and want to destroy your country.  How about cynics? Well, then just go over to MSNBC and see how reporters (are they still call that? really?) make a mockery of the news with cartoonish shows that tend to be more in search of how to make fun of FOX’s people than to actually be neutral.  But what about CNN? They have people on both sides right? They have beard man, and angry populist man, and imparcial african american super lady delegate, they have latin republicans and some guy that I think has been for a few months speaking with Barack Obama’s dick in his mouth, oh and let’s not forget, the magic board King.  It’s a parody of what news channels used to be.  You can’t get news anymore.  You get opinions.  Opinions of biased people, or angry people.  Should we be angry? Yes, we should, but I should not be told I must be angry, or sad, or happy that Hamas endorsed Barack (although that is a bit funny).

Like I’ve said before, I’m not a full blown democrat, nor am I suffering from Obamamania, but if this senator, is running on a “change platform” shouldn’t it present change? I mean, yes he’s young, yes he can motivate a crowd, and yes he likes to say “special interests are icky” (well not exactly like that) but what from his proposals are really new? Everything has been mentioned before and has not been done because legislators don’t do shit..so why would they start now?  I think more change is presented by Ron Paul who is a magnificent candidate, although he tends to sound more like a nagging senior citizen than a real candidate in those debates.  Then again, look who is the republican nominee…could play the part of his older brother.

So back to some real issues, I say Fuck Michigan and Florida.  I’m sorry for the people that live there, but if they elected people that don’t follow the rules, then screw them on their re-elections.  But allowing them to vote means at the very least, that democrats don’t even follow their internal rules, so it does not help their “elitist” status on the outside.  People might think “hey, they don’t respect their own rules, why would they respect the countries rules?”.

Will this mean that those people won’t vote in november? I honestly doubt it, and if they don’t, well it’s their choice.  I would be angry too if I lived there, but remember, it was not Obama, nor Hillary, nor McCain who decided to break the rules, it was your own local politicians.  So make them pay.  And like I’ve said before, no matter what happens, four more years of republicans is not equal to four more years of George Bush, but it is equal to 2 more republican Supreme Court Justices.  Know what that means? Goodbyeeeeeee Rowe vs Wade.

So even though this process started with potential, with latinos, whiteys, blacks, females, libertarians, angry men and the Keebler Elf, it’s going down the same way as every presidential election goes down.  Maybe the frosting is chocolate or some really really old vainilla but in the end, change cannot be implemented by politicians.  It must be mandated by the people and the people in this country much rather watch Oprah, open up a cold one and forget the country is in broke, unemployed and in chaos.  Now…THAT’s the american way.
